Ji'an Township (Chinese: 吉安鄉; pinyin: Jí'ān Xiāng), is a township near Hualien City, Taiwan. It has a population of 79,000 inhabitants and 18 villages.
Ji an is the second place of inhabitants in Hualien County ( 1st Place is Haulien city). The Township has mountainsides ,seashore and a wide alluvial plain. The main inhabitants components include Min Nan, Hakka, Taiwanese and Aborigine. The economy is flourishing in areas of agriculture, commerce and industry, and connects deeply with adjacent city - Hualien City.

Ji An was settled down by Ami people first and called “Chikasoan” (知卡宣) - the meaning of “A flourish timber land” in Ami language, and the Han Chinese called “Cikasuan” (七腳川). In the period of Japanese Occupation of Taiwan, the Governor-General of Taiwan encouraged Japanese to immigrate the regions of Hualien and Taitung and established a village here as “Yoshino”. In 1937, it was reformed and administrated by Hualien Prefecture. Until 1948, it was renamed as Ji An Township as now.
